It seems to be very demanding for the CPU.
Though 90°C is high, it should be still fine as long as it doesn't go up near 100°C. I think watercooling is needed if you want you want to reach something around 70 for this game.
If you do have something like that make sure the settings are allowing the fans to run as they need to. I took my baby I built myself to some tech bros and they installed one of these on my pc so the fans weren't loud and I had to uninstall it lmao not really needed on my part cuz you can just do it from bios.
And no, it's not because of a lack of cooling. I have a Noctua NHD-15 and most games run 70-80C max, which is normal for the 5000 series CPUs.
That cooler is more than sufficient for your CPU.
So either: you have a HEAVY CPU overclock applied that is too much for your cooler.
Or;
Your cooler is starved for fresh air, can't draw enough cool air in from outside the case. Poor airflow.
Or;
Your cooler isn't correctly making proper contact with the processor and needs to be reapplied.
that bios basically band aid fixed the broken 14th gen cpus by increasing voltage, loadlines in the bios.
if you know what your doing try find cpu lite mode in the bios and get it as low as possible while remaining stable this will massively drop the temps on the cpu.
I have done this on my 14700k and don''t go above 65c in any game.
you can also try loadline calibration but i recommend you do some research on it before tampering with settings as Mobo manufactures name it differently.
