Performance on high end gaming laptop
Hey guys I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or if it's just the game's ♥♥♥♥ optimization. I have a laptop with an i9-13900HX, RTX 4090, and 32 GB of RAM and it stutters a lot. Failing to find settings that don't make the game look terrible, and also maintain a steady FPS.

Hi, same issue on my side with a 4070 TI Super and a Ryzen 7 7800 X3D 32gb of ram. When i start playing, the game runs pretty well but the more i play, the less i have FPS and the more the game is having issue loading textures.

The benchmark gave me good results around 85/90 fps in 4K ultra, but i have regulary textures not loading or fps drops even with lower setting it doesn't help.

same I have an ASUS with 5 terrabytes and it still stutters. I think it's the preformance.

It's an engine problem and your settings or hardware do not matter. Digital Foundry already covered this and it is something with the way the game streams in assets to and from VRAM.

Same, maybe its a mobile GPU issue? Beta ran fine, launch ran fine, after recent patches its crap, textures constantly flicker. I have a 4070 and surpass the sys reqs

Some things that have helped my performance by A LOT (on 3070ti / 12700k):

- Force update to dlss 3.10 with dlss switcher.
- Install Special K to override the broken implementation of Reflex.
- Use LossLess Scaling (NIP with LFSG 3.0 Frame Generation in addition to the DLSS in-game). I don't know if frame gen with rtx 40+ is better, but I cannot use it with my card. Using NIP in addition to DLSS definitely makes the game sharper and run a bit faster tho.
- Update the outdated DirectStorage DLL (it is outdated and is making hitches and stutters worse than the most recent version). It can be found here for example: https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterwilds/mods/127?tab=posts
Hmmm I have a rtx 4080m, i9 12900HX, 32GB Ram and the game runs fine for me.

everything is on high other than some shadow settings turned down. DLSS quality, Frame Gen on.

Runs fine for me so far 100fps+
Even if its high preformance laptop make sure that if it's a hybrid, that its using the right graphic card for this game. Also either pcie 4 ssd, or nvme2 ssd would be the best type of hard drive for this game.

You're on the right track. Go to the Nvidia Control Panel and disable Optimus, if you have it. Make the laptop use your Nvidia GPU all the time. Because of this I didn't have GSYNC enabled. Once I did that everything was fixed
