More varied roster? No, where are all the monsters at? Your new game should have better than the last and this does not do that.
Monster Hunter Wilds has NO GIMMICK missions where you carry damn Balls to Canons. As I replay all own titles of MH every year, the Gimmick Missions is the thing I really hate.

Currently I can't rank this Monster Hunter as it needs G/Master Rank. Low/High rank always was piece of cake. Even End Game ranks become piece of cake when you get a nice build
If you fear that there won't be enough content or anything compared to World + Iceborne, best is to wait for some time to see how it'll be going. The fundamentals doesn't change, it's more of it, with changes, a lot better, some worst.
They always do this every game, especially when it's on a new engine/platform. They may not reuse the same old models. When they do, you end up with janky-looking monsters that just don't fit too well like what they did in the 3DS games.
Reduce brightness in the settings. The difference is night and day.
