switch to low rank

any way to switch to low rank on the world map? So far, only way ive seen to get low rank mats is by selecting optional quests.

Just still in early gameplay but a very good question. I'd wonder if there is something in the options in the map perhaps when fast traveling or anything? If not, while it is annoying just having to suck it up and do a low rank quest is not the end of the world in whatever zone you are wanting to gather in.
