Any way to counteract Frame Gen input lag?
Topic, game runs fine enough
Need to use the silly Upscaling and Frame gen tech though but it applies a sluggish input delay and I hate in in such a combat focused game, any way to help the situation?
At this point I'd gladly move to co-op World again instead lmao

Use real frames instead of fake frames.

No there's nothing you can do to get rid of the input delay you can only help mitigate it but it'l always be there.

To me it sounds you have no idea how the tech actually works. Or why is it you trying to compare apple with melons?

It does not apply input lag, it's the actual input lag becasue of low amount of "real" frames.
FrameGen can make your screen smooth like playing on double or triple the amount of FPS you really are getting but your input lag is going to be the same under the hood.

For example, if your game is running in reality at 20 FPS but Frame Generation makes it look like 60 FPS, your input latency is still tied to that 20 FPS becasue that's what the game recieves and sends out.

It's not really fixable, FrameGen is best to squeeze those high numbers like 144 or 240 fps on a game that's running 60-70 FPS for example, the way companies are trying to use it right now is simply dumb.
In order to have little to no inputLag on FrameGen , whether AMD or Nvidia, you need a baseline of at least 60fps, anything less and you will encounter issues.

Just remember this Framegen is not a performance tool like upscaling it's a visual tool to make the game look smoother at the expense of your input delay.

Sorry but the input lag is a serious bug. Playing with keyboard and mouse eliminate the input lag. It is only present playing with wireless controller. The thing is so serius there can be 10 seconds between the pressing of the button and the response in game. The frame generation in fact does great with quality and fps, but generates a bug with controllers.

with frame generation? well it goes and comes. If you dont suffer it well, that's not our problem.

Yeah tried without it against the Uth Duna and I'll pick smudgier image with better responsiveness

It's just super frustrating how I'm well over recommended spec with a 7 5700X/RTX 3060 but the game just doesn't work baseline without the upscaling bs.

VRAM in use is 4.68GB and the CPU is benchmarked to be 33% better than recommended specs yet the game still struggles, damn.

Well anyways with Frame Gen off and hitting a bit inconsistent 60fps it's still better than the generated 60.

you have no idea what you are talking about

I'm using a wired joystick on my PC (no Bluetooth) and I'm experiencing terrible input lag.

The only solution is to use FSR with Ultra Performance (with 4080Super) and disable the frame generator, but I still experience input lag.

Watch the video below so you can keep saying "there's no input lag with a joystick."

The thing is.. if I configure right the frame gen, I can get +100fps on a rx580.. the problem is that there is a bug when you play with controller, causing not lag but something like 30 seconds of lag. But when you play with keyboard this doesn't happen, so its a bug. In a game like MH you wont experience input lag since the control is slow

Well above not really the performance between 2060 and rec is 2070 wich is equal to an 3060ti but rec is pretty deciving here the true minimun is a 4070 and 4090 rec for a good experiance and your gpu is old and on low midrange
