How do you use slicing ammo?

None of my bowguns can use it, and I see nowhere on how to start using it either. Didn't even realize it existed till I noticed I could craft it, but never had a single bowgun be able to use it.

Iron Assault/Ner Bustergun can use it. Iron Assault is the heavy bowgun from the Ore Tree which should be available relatively early on too

EDIT: there might be more than just those 2 trees which can use slicing ammo which I don't know of yet, as I'm also still missing 4 trees

i have 1 ??? weapon tree left and there still isnt a weapin that uses it in the LBG tree

I believe its the same 2 that use slicing on the HBG, specifically the one made with just iron ores and such, and has a scope. Can't recall it's name

There's only 3 HBG's tree's with slicing ammo, the 2 listed above and the Ableben Abzug. There are no LBG's with slicing ammo to my knowledge

yeah thats what i figured, i mostly wanna know why, and im majorly bummed they chose to do that

To be fair every time I've used slicing the recoil was always highest and so was the reload. If the bigger gun has a hard time managing the bullet I'm not surprised the smaller gun can't use it. Still though they need to give bowguns more flexibility since they basically nerfed spread, sticky and slicing into the ground

Oh no lol yeah you pretty much nailed the head of the hammer there, if a small gun cant handle that type of ammo, like the cluster bombs? or cluster something right, they are only used with HbG.

In their infinite wisdom, Capcom decided to make Slicing ammo HBG exclusive.
