You know what? I was going to hunt the monster but I don't want to anymore.
You deal with it.
If you can give me permission then you must be able to handle it yourself right? Right?

I was so happy on the hunt where I gave myself permission.

I guess that thing is just done to build for that whoa big moment of reluctantly saying it towards the end.
It's such an anime line, I love it. Hypes me up for the fight,
So... how does the guild allow that? Do they have transmitters on them to communicate with some headquarters or is that random girl following my hunts and being invincible to every attack high ranked enough to allow monster genocide?

We've always been slaves to the guild and guildmarms, this game just included the cutscenes and story to show you that.

You never gave yourself permission though? In every single Monster Hunter all hunts are sanctioned and authorized by the Guild. You do as your told in each and every single one of the games. Having an NPC verbally tell you "the guild authorizes you..." is what made you realize this so late?

The guildmarms chicks basically have the credentials to authorize it in the name of the hunting guild. Comes with the position.

Like someone said monster hunter is very cheese 90s anime story, on purpose, so just ignore the story and dialogue if that discomforts you.

Assigned employees of the guild are allowed to give you permission. In this game it's Alma and Erika

It's literally your job to get permission to hunt. Otherwise guild knights would be coming after you which are the hunter hunters.

Dunno if this a serious question but:

Alma is with the Guild, so by proxy of her being there she has the power and authority to give you quests and slay monsters. Just like the Handler did in World, or the Guildmarm in MH4, etc.

Dont get baited. He doesnt even own the game...
I don't like that argument.. you don't need a mouse icon near your name to say something.

He could have it on PS5 or he could have his games private which hides ownership.

I do have it on ps5. I'm so used to talking about games on steam I didn't even think about the mouse.
