You never gave yourself permission though? In every single Monster Hunter all hunts are sanctioned and authorized by the Guild. You do as your told in each and every single one of the games. Having an NPC verbally tell you "the guild authorizes you..." is what made you realize this so late?
It's literally your job to get permission to hunt. Otherwise guild knights would be coming after you which are the hunter hunters.
Dunno if this a serious question but:
Alma is with the Guild, so by proxy of her being there she has the power and authority to give you quests and slay monsters. Just like the Handler did in World, or the Guildmarm in MH4, etc.
He could have it on PS5 or he could have his games private which hides ownership.
