Cut tails off with bows

Is this possible or no? I hear people say piercing coating but havent got a tail to cut off.

It is very possible yes. I use only bow and its been fine for cutting parts.

As a bow user I've seen exactly one tail cut off during 20 hours

Use HBG with slicing ammo instead.

Bow only for 22hrs, haven't even completed campaign and I've cut many tails off with the bow without even trying. I'd imagine it'd be pretty easy if you put a tracer anywhere on their back end and keep hitting combos .

It is Dragon Piercer does slicing damage bowguns are different now lbg you have to use adhesive special ammo the ticks before it explodes does slicing damage too, HBG is the only bowgun that has slicing ammo unfortunately but doesn’t have a special ammo like lbg that can do it so I guess they did it for that, throwing knives also can cut tails.

Confirmed ALL RAW bows can cut tails rather easily.

Piercer ammo is best if it's a long tail otherwise close range or if you lack it, power as it's a small dps loss.

i think only dragon piercer can cut tails not the other attacks

idk about piercing coating i never have a bow with that
