Can't connect online at all (Communication errors / Offline mode)

Is anyone else having a problem connecting to servers? I was actually able to play online and see people Friday morning, but ever since then I get disconnected immediately when I launch the game. I'm met with communication errors and eventually lose connection to the server and it starts the game in "Offline mode". I've tried disabling IPv6 and adding MH Wilds to firewall exception to no avail. The game also knocks me offline on my PC/Steam, but once I shut it down everything goes back to normal.

I also had a friend invite me via chat and I was able to join but I get immediately kicked.

Anyone else with this problem? What did you do to fix it?

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the same error as I was getting, but I disabled my vpn and was able to play online today

Funnily people are saying to use a vpn as a potential fix

In same situation, tried with and without VPN, changed to opendns.

Not sure why others i know play together just fine

The situation differ by country and Internet service provider. Some providers may have some communication ports disabled or rerouted in incomprehensible ways - or simply block certain IP addresses which match the game's service (Amazon AWS, for example).

Yikes, I'm hoping vpn can solve the issue for me. About the only thing I haven't tried

Update: I fixed the issue by resetting my router. Not sure why that was the cause of it, but I was finally able to play online. So if you're having this problem, I'd suggest unplugging your router and see if that fixes your issue when you reconnect.

Adding to this because this thread keeps coming up on google while I was searching for a fix:

Another possible fix for those having issues connecting is to DISABLE CROSSPLAY at the main menu (game settings, near the bottom).

I wasn't able to join any missions, and could only stay in a lobby for a few minutes max until I tried that. It's only a bandaid solution, but can help in some cases.

For some reason I just had this happen to me also. I can't seem to find a fix, worked last night and most of this morning, just was cut off and no matter what I do I can't go online. I can't even claim login bonus etc or even look at the limited bounties.

I didnt do anything, just logged on today and it worked, no clue why

Same here... Game just crashed at launch when trying to connect
Been happening for some time now, mostly during "rush hours" like right now

the game wont even open for me. It says cannot connect to server, press next. When you press next it takes you to a webpage that says nothing. The game worked the first two days, now it cannot even establish connection. im so pissed off
