Layered Armor Bug

When I first created my character and started the game I was able to access the "Change Equipment Appearance" option in the tent where I had access to all the layered armors that I had unlocked. I immediately used the pre-order layered armor "Guild Knight" and am pretty happy with my armor's current appearance, however, now when I access the "Change Equipment Appearance" I no longer have any options to change the appearance - I only have the Guild Knight listed and no other options...

Am I doing something wrong or is this some kind of bug?

if you haven't unlocked any other layered armor's nothing else will pop up
if you want to show the armor you're wearing you should be able to just unequip that layered armor
at least that's how it worked in rise, i haven't had enough time to really play this game yet

I have crafted other pieces of armor since then (have 10+ hours in the game).

Sure, I can unequip it but I am still unable to apply different layered armors and I definitely had a list of options the first time around...

It feels like I'm either missing something or the game is bugged somehow...

you don't unlock layered armors br crafting the sets if i remember right

Actually, I think Capcom intends to sell vouchers for editing your character's appearance - I think this is related to the bug because I can edit my character appearance without needing vouchers but I cannot adjust the layered armors. Maybe the game is looking for a character edit voucher to let me edit the layered armors? xD

double check on how you unlock layered armors

Yup, to unlock layered armor you need to reach Chapter 4 and craft high-rank armor to unlock Layered Armor (which I have not done yet). I had access to the layered armor simply because I pre-ordered and had access to the Guild Knight layered armor.
