They don't really count if you can't connect to them though.
Probably best to turn off Crossplay for now if it's not even working, and turn it on later after a patch.

I was encountering this error too, but if you turn off Crossplay, then what's the point of playing online with your friends on other platforms? MY issue, when I was getting this error, was because I was running a VPN. I actually had to turn it off, to fix the issue. If you're running a VPN, I suggest turning it off till Capcom fixes it to where you can play with others on other platforms, while using a VPN. World eventually fixed this, so hopefully Capcom will do the same for Wilds.

What is the point of a crossplay function if it doesn't work? What is the logic? I want to play with a friend who is on console, that doesn't make sense! Which intern programmed this rubbish online mode.

Disable crossplay and find yourself in an empty lobby, nice, that's like calling a mechanic because the car won't start and he says "use your bicycle, problem solved"
