That's just how steam displays the game in the downloads screen now. My patch was only about 200mb.

yea, cause it needs double the amount of space as the game, so around 150gb~ as it has to make a copy of the files for the patching process

that's how patching works on steam, it's not game specific

That's still insane. Having to have twice the storage for a 60gb game because steam needs to basicly copy every file over *is* insane. The requirements then should read 150gb needed, because thats the amount of storage space required.

Just because that's how every game does it doesn't make it less insane.
so im not the only one that get that 70G, I thought I accidentally deleted it
Nobody like a whiner
First time using a computer?
Games usually decompress to update, the expansion of files is egregious and not consistent even on Steam, its developer and game dependent how much decompression is required and such, all. I've never had a game need double the space to update, but if its adding content and you don't have the required space that is its own issue, windows recommends ~5-10% total space as buffer for things, perhaps a new drive purchase (or larger one and transferring files) is in order regardless though

The high res texture free dlc is 70GB, have you perhaps decided to add that?

But thats the thing, I had plenty of room, again 100gb including the 70 required for the game. I had way more than 10%.
