MH Wilds Crashing my PC

I'm absolutely loving this game so far... when I can play it. However, it's completely crashing my PC to blackscreen and full restart. I've literally just upgraded my whole setup too, and no other game has caused such issues. GF has the same set-up as me and has no problems, but I'm lucky to get through a hunt without it freezing and resetting my PC.

I think I'm gonna put it down for a bit until they optimise the game, because right now it is, and I hate to use this phrase, literally unplayable as-is.

I solved this by going to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Edit Plan Settings (on whichever one you want to use) > Change advanced power settings > Processor power management > change Min and Max processor state to 99%

Since doing this, I've had no crashes at all and no stuttering either. It seems like it was absolutely a CPU issue, so until they fix it on their side this is a workaround that's let me play the game consistently.

I consistently crash 1h+ after launching my first activity and it hard crashes my entire PC into a force reboot. Only way to mitigate the problem is turn off all apps on startup and strictly launch MHW and it should buy you an extra hour before the inevitable crash.

Got a Ryzen 9700X, 32GB RAM with a RTX 4070 and also experiencing random full pc freeze/crash that require the power button to be held to shut down.

Tried turning off DLSS, updating drivers and so on with no luck.
Luckily it only happens a few times a day, but it's still annoying.

Ugh I was having this issue in the beta and it was happening day 1, I thought it was due to GPU overheat and cleaned everything, had ac on blast chill and everything worked.
Then the game updated and despite the lack of dust and the chilled surroundings, IT SHUTS DOWN MY PC CONSTANTLY!!!!
I LOST OUT ON A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GEM DUE TO THIS AND AM RIGHTFULLY PISSED!!!!
if anyone finds some random fix PLEASE I BEG!!!
(and yes my drivers are updated, gpu is 3080ti)

I may have found something it completely fixed my freeze/crash issue. I'm on a low-mid range system I7 9700k, NVIDIA RTX 2060, 16 gigs of ram. If you have the High resolution texturepack even installed it can break your game I run on all low settings. hope this helps anyone that is having issues

I had to use FSR Native AA. If I put it to Quality it black screens randomly and I even had to reinstall my GPU Drivers. They stopped working and my GPU wasn't showing up in Task Manager. Maybe try disabling Upscaling if possible?

Specs: Ryzen 5 7600, 2x16 DDR5 6000MT/s, RX 6800XT, 850W PSU, 1440p monitor. CPU is cooled by Arctic LF3 360. Windows 11 as OS

It fixed the problem on my way.

Let me describe it fast.

One crash per 30 min/Hour, screen was suddently freezing and the last sound making a cringe noise: my pc restart suddently.

I got a NVME so i come back to windows in 10 secs.

Since i made what this guy said, i have no problem.

I put back everything in very high + 4K, i got no problems.

I also reactivated frame generated by CPU.

Leave me a thumb to my message so people can find out the solution.

Interesting. For some reason mine was under 4GB, despite the recommended being around 8-9GB.

Although my symptoms were a crash and a black screen, I'll give it a try.

Its literally incredible, no game did that to my PC and MH Wilds did it 2 times in one day

whatever the update they just released did, I didn't crash to blackscreen for 2 whole hours!
then I crashed and had an IO error.....
