changing weapons on the fly

I have heard , a lot of times, that in this monster hunter you can wear two weapons , one on you and one on the runnung bird, but how can i change from one to the other ?
or does option finaly not exist ?
For mi is this game very complicated. i like it...the world, the monsters, everything !
less the menus, i´m not able to come clear with them...

You have to mount your bird-horse thing and press a key to switch to your other selected weapon

Controller or m&k? controller is right side on d pad, dont know m&k. Otherwise, if you DON'T have that option yet, keep playing the story.

You have to mount your Seikret to change weapons. It's pretty annoying. Every time I jump on my mount it switches to my secondary weapon, so I have to switch back.

Got it now how to do it, and yes, it´s annoying, like a lot of things in the menus, options and lot of parts in this game -
There is´nt even an oversite for the controller options and buttons.....
Don´t get me wrong, i like this game, it´s lot of fun, but in same way it causes me a lot of frustrations sometimes, p.e. the amount of invisible walls and that one can´t realy just explore around, there is allways some, or something what brings you on the way the game want...there is not much of freedome in it....., it´s sad, could be even so much nicer if there where real free exploring in it.

No need to mount first, just hitting the swap key will do an automatic mounting and swap with just one press. But yeah afterwards you still will have to dismount, as there is no option for unmounted swapping.

If the controller confuse you, use the keyboard. I remap the button to something far away like num pad 0 to not missclick.
