Alma & Olivia won't let me explore on my own terms without constantly dragging me back to the rails. Gemma shouts at me every time I go past but has nothing new to say. Erik has no self-preservation instinct and has to be repeatedly rescued from the consequences of his ill-considered actions. And then there are the local tribes with their crystal wind-chimes who somehow managed to survive in the desert without even knowing what weapons are and try to push their nonsense tribal culture of baked beans and naan bread on everyone.
Frankly Nata is just one among many. They're all annoying.
I feel the same - the Bean part made actually laugh.
I try to sympathize because his family was killed (I guess, I don't know). So he just wants revenge even if he dies fighting, which is exactly what would happen. But I'm like, bro, chill. These monsters are huge have elemental powers and are absolutely throwing down right now.
"I'm gonna throw this rock at it and get everyone killed"
"ITS JUST MISUNDERSTOOD DONT KILL IT!!!!!!"
They're like a bunch of weed-smokers on a council estate, all getting high and then nipping out to Tescos when they get the munchies.
Like "Here kid. We'll let you fight the monster, but only if you dress up as the comic relief animal. Take it or leave it."
I am glad I am not the only one to be annoyed by that character design choices and dialogue. At some point there was a redeeming opportunity in which I was expecting him to say that he was to blame for the dragon monster to go berserk and free him before its complete form to become a guardian.... but nooo. It had to be some gringe bs about freedom. I was like "dude -,-"
I actually like the other characters, especially Nona. She is the cutest thing ever, for real. Makes me wanna do anything to protect that little thing. Olivias personality is quite fitting and Alma is doing a great job being a support for everyone. Gemma ofc is goals, noone can disagree with that.
I would like some of the other characters to have the chance to shine though. Maybe on the expansion.
But to be honest, if something happened to Nata and had to disappear from the game... I wouldn't feel bad. Just saying.
