Gunlance Shelling Type

What's with almost all Rarity 4 GL being wide shelling?! I prefer normal personally. Why such heavy lean towards wide specifically? Feels a little unbalanced. I am still in low rank so Idk if later on this changes, but it's just smth I noticed, and I am a little confused.

Usually MH gunlances are not quite balanced when looking at equality of quantity ofshelling types in the endgame. People have different preferences, and sometimes it looks like Capcom just rolls a dice what the next shelling type will be. Usually, over the updates there will be competetive versions of all shell types in the endgame, but expect there to be better ones and worse ones.

hi, proud gunlance enjoyer since freedom unite here!

as a fan of full burst spamming since 3u, I too enjoy normal as my favorite shell type.

you do learn to like wide after a while (some setups wide setups can have you do almost as much damage with charged shots as normal full bursts can do, and charges are much easier to access).

(ps: if you like explosions, you can always embrace full degeneracy like i do and find a gun with rapid sticky to spam! really wish/hope capcom would bring back something akin to the blossomayem from 4u!)

I like explosions, but bowguns is smth that didn't stick with me since World. I use GL is Wilds for solo hunts, but when in team, I venture out learning SwAxe :)
