Sudden Constant Crashes
24 hours of no issues, but last night and into this morning I get consistent/constant crashes whenever loading a hunt. It goes into the loading screen and then crashes, game is unplayable now. Anyone else having these problems?

Same exact situation here since the update. At first I verified integrity of game files and it seemingly fixed it but then it started crashing again. Always right as the loading screen bar for starting a hunt reaches the end.

Hey guy I'm experiencing the same things but I've found a few things that slightly reduced the crashes:

Reinstall the NVIDIA drivers
Turn off Frame Gen
Verify Game Files

Same problem for me, either crashes right at launch, or randomly about 10 minutes in.

Out of curiosity, what CPU do you use? I ask because I think Intel CPUs are having more trouble with the game than AMD CPUs...

GUYS THIS FIXED IT FOR ME!!!!
Put "-dx11" in launch settings for MHW
Make MHW launch with admin privileges. 2hrs + in and no crashes. Before it was crashing every 10min now it hasn't. Plus game looks way better.

After I downloaded this update, it has crashed at the exact same time, trying to join an SOS.

I had no issues for the first 10 hours then started getting crashes the next day. Had to disable the dlc textures and other stuff, and still got crashes both in gameplay and cutscenes.

Finally found out earlier the game was eating up my pagefile, despite 32GB of RAM and 16GB VRAM to play with (I noticed when it suddenly told me there was no space to save). Seems I had enough space at first, but with the bunch of screenshots I took eating into my C drives space and the game taking up to 7GB in the pagefile it'd just shutdown while crediting direct storage. Didn't notice while playing at first, cause it'd release the pagefile after closing.

Copied about 20GB of screenshots from various games to my backup HDD and now I can play with dlc textures and all max, without random crashes.

I'd definitely suggest checking windows event viewer to see if you can narrow down what causes your crashes for you.

Today I made a similar/related observation - the ingame VRAM indicator from the Settings is showing me that the game is using 4Gb VRAM but when I check the Task Manager I see that it is actually using 7+Gb of VRAM (And my GPU is a 4060 Ti 8Gb) so it was pretty much maxing my GPUs VRAM.

Consequently, I lowered some settings further than I was willing to previously (Now I play with all settings on Medium or lower + I manually disabled Volumetric Fog from the config file) and the game genuinely feels more stable and seems to run better.

Considering the Recommended hardware is with 8Gb VRAM, I would expect better performance but I guess not... This honestly leaves me somewhat disappointed as I recently upgraded from a 2060 Super to a 4060 Ti and am now realizing that it is not enough...
