LBG slicing ammo?

LBG/IG main here, HR24 into the HR stuff but not seen all the monsters yet - is it me or is there a real lack of LBGs that can use slicing ammo? Did they switch it to a HBG only ammo or is it only on the new magazine system? Not sure what's going on, I dont NEED slicing and I've been using the guns fine without it but it's nice for severs.

100% agree, HR40 now and have not seen a single LBG that has Slicing

Yes they have cut out heaps of the game. That's why my post Also highlights heaps they have cut out of the game. it's crazy.

same here also hr 40, also though if you wanna use a HBG for slicing theres a total of two weapons. LIke it almost feels like they forgot two weapons to remove it from, which suck because the slicing ammo looks really cool in this game. Also theres a severe lack of Gunner specific skills in this game as well. like they just wanted to F over anyone who enjoys either of those weapons. Spread Hbg can do something cool while mounted but who knows if thatll stay or they patch that out.

I lol oh, i uh i was planning on having one LBG which has the slicing ammo and then another one fro like elemelon damage but oh well, i havent engaged with the dual weapon machanic since theres zero reason to.

Generally, bowguns have been completely gutted and dumbed down in this game. And no, LBGs can't use slicing ammo here, and sticky ammo is pretty much useless this time. Spread is also useless since we can't reduce the recoil.

Basically, pierce is the only real choice for regular ammo right now. In Rise and Worlds, every bowgun felt somewhat unique or special. In this game, all bowguns feels almost the same.

Normal ammo for HBG works too, it has decent damage.
Elemental ammo, if you have one hitting moster weak to that element, seems to be even stronger (practically no range limit+high ammo cap).

Pierce and elemental are the only ways to really get anything Decent out of Bowguns at the moment.

Normal is okay but still lags behind.

Spread is dead unless your mounted otherwise i haven't seen nor bothered to do anything with it.

Sticky can be "okay" with KO but that's it.

Slicing is on HBG only.

Cluster is fine on gravios HBG but still requires set up.

Ammo variety was insanely killed for LBG's. usually most have the recover ammo built in with Armor and demon ammo unless its a super specified Bowgun for 1-3 ammo types and even then some of those had support ammo options.

There is almost no reason to use LBG over HBG unless you want the mobility and like the new firing mode.

The only reason I wanted to make an LBG as an HBG main is that the HBG I'm running doesn't have slicing ammo and having a flexible secondary weapon for slicing that I don't suck ass at like I do the melee weapons would be really nice, but apparently there are NO slicing LBGs?! D=

Same issue here but regarding sticky ammo.

I have seen some weapons that let you use it, but only level 1 sticky ammo, no obvious way to upgrade it with magazines/gunpowder, and the recoil is ridiculous. I don't see the point.

Are there some guns with level 3 sticky and maybe upgrades?

The ammo on both LBG and HBG are severely limited

If you look at HBG, you will see that only 2 guns have recovery ammo, no gun is allowed to have more then 1 status ammo, and slicing, cluster, wyvern, and sticky were made mutually exclusive, you can only have 1 on a single gun....it's terrible

Special ammo. Spread and slicing are doggy doo doo in Wilds.

Both bowguns are still really fun to use but yeah the ammo has been simplified a teeny bit.

you dont need anything for Gravios but water ammo. I solo him in 2 minutes with a fully upgraded water artian HBG

Adhesive ammo does slicing damage, which is why it's propably a deliberate choice to not give LBG slicing.
