how does this "maki wants to offer you a free meal" stuff work ?

I have like a free meal offer in 2 or 3 villages and I can't find for the love of good find how to trigger it, maki and in the other villages the dudes who make the food are no where to be found, is that bugged or something ?

Yeah, the way to get around it at the moment is leave town and the waypoint/quest will appear in the map overview. Have your bird autopath back to Maki and she might be busy or she might not be. She usually is busy during the day and you can't have the meal then. She is free to have meals around nighttime or evening probably? Only notable buff Maki's free meal gives is carver pro, where you get an extra carve on slays/tails. Other than that it's just the usual stuff.

Her being unavailable at certain times sorta like how in the wind plains, Y'sai can't give you the free food while Rey Dau is on the map. As thunder storms force him to hide in his house and stops you from being able to get the free meal.

I don't think it actually vanishes, just the marker does. Or maybe i found a secondary bug? because when i got confused by this I just went and talked to him and he still gave me the meal even without the marker

I have problems with Y'sai. Everytime I get a meal from him, the storm is blazing hard. Usually I just save my game and return to title and it's gone though.

Y'sai and his people hide (in their huts) during the thunderstorm weather caused by Rey Dau. That's why you can't get the free meal during that time. It's a story thing.

It's bugged. Especially Maki is just impossible. If you can even find her she'll just have a cross preventing you from even speaking.

Food was already awfully handled in this game and with the invitations not working most of the time (and Maki's not ever), I have no reason to ever bother with it anymore. At least not until they fix it.

Do not listen to these idiots in the comment section, the Maki meal is confirmed bugged by developers so just ignore the invitation for now. DO NOT rest in tent, it resets the day and the meal invitation disappears, these dumbasses are trolling you.
