I meant to reply to the guy saying get rid of them, lol. I was thinking of this

when I said that.
And I would LOVE for Monster Hunter to get back to the standard: 1 hunter, 2 non-human assistants. I don't like World as much due to slower hunter movement (4u, Gen/GenU, Rise, and Wilds have your hunter noticeably moving faster, World gimped you for some reason), Clutch Claw reliance, and gimping your "solo team". Rise edges it out in my book. It's a more traditional Monster Hunter, aside from the wirebugs, which I have no issue with.
I did laugh at the one with the blue and orange headpiece though. It looks like Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn, only prettier.
Rove is funny too. Deep, baritone Japanese voice (at least on Japanese voice setting) and I found him tied up in a cavern once while we were fighting something evil. Just suddenly monologuing there and I didn't know what was going on, looked up and he was on the roof, webbed up, again. He gave me a lightcrystal after he was freed.
Probably my favourite NPC in the entire game and I've only interacted with him like four times. That's how good he is, and how bad everyone else is. He just sounds so flat and depressed even when in dangerous situations with his life on the line, it's great.
