Found one fix for PC Crashes running Nvidia GPUs
This game constantly crashed on me every 5-10 mins until I did this one fix.

1.) First, ensure your Nvidia app is 11.0.2.337, and you are using GPU driver 572.60.

2.) When you go into the game menu under graphic settings, TURN OFF - FRAME GENERATION for DLSS settings.

Apparently, the current Nvidia drivers are plagued with this option turned on and doomed to crash. After I did this fix, I could play 5 hours straight without any crashes... go figures. I am also running an RTX 40 series card, FYI.

Happy Hunting :steamhappy:

Turning off Frame Generation can indeed solve things for a lot of player. Maybe even DLSS in general because the crash stacktrace points towards the dlss files of MH:Wilds. Atleast it helped me with the random crashes after starting an optional quest

Updating to 572.60 is not the best advice. You are quite lucky that you didn't get the black screen bug with that driver. RTX 40 Series is riddled with that. The Nvidia forums are full with reports.
Mind if I ask if you have a high refresh monitor (144hz+) connected via DisplayPort? Rumors say it is related to that.

The whole 572.xx line is just an utter mess on Nvidias side with 572.12 the "most stable" of the three (Blackscreen after pc wake up bug).

Clean install also doesn't fix it (running windows in safe mode, DDU, then new install).

What a time to live in..

i use 5090 and over 22hours no crash for me with frame gen on...

20.2 hours with no crashes. 5800x 4070 super, Yeah you get 60 fps without frame gen, but when that ♥♥♥♥ drops, it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ takes a nose dive off a cliff. I can't play the crappy areas without frame gen. Well at least screen tearing and other major graphic issues only seem to appear while the smithy crafts something or i go into the tent.

As an aside I've never had a problem with drivers for the past 3 months.Oh except on my bowser, I use Brave. After the last driver update it sometimes doesn't respond unless i minimize and maximize again

I don't even have the game listed among games in NVIDIA panel, despite the driver being optimized specifically for it :lunar2019shockedpig: (rescans didn't help)

Can you guys share which Nvidia driver you have?

I had no crashes on Friday (10~ hours of playtime) and suddenly started crashing yesterday. Some pointed to DLSS, most pointed to direct storage. Sadly even disabling GPU compression with special K won't let me use the dlc texture pack anymore (crashes within 10 seconds at base camp) and I've still gotten crashes during cutscenes with no errors being logged.

There definitely seems to be issues with the DLSS/frame gen and streaming systems in the game. Here's hoping they fix things sooner rather than later,

Disabling frame gen makes the game's fps ♥♥♥♥ itself on even new hardware unfortunately. Frame gen isn't recommended by Capcom without reason. The game runs abyssmal if you don't have a 5000s. A 4000s should run the game more than enough.
