Soft locked at Chapter 5 Mission "Omens"

It says to Investigate the regions and raise your HR

My friend and I have been progressing and doing all the same missions. He proceeded to get the next part of the quest while I did not, and I am a higher Hunter Rank than he is.

No other differences between the missions we have done. Somehow I am now softlocked.

are you both at the same HR? to me that happens quite often when progressing, it just means i need to level up some more, regardless of how many quests i've completed, they progression is literally bound to HR if i am not mistaken

¿Intentaste ver si no hay marcadores rojos para la historia?

Intenta haciendo tambien las amarillas para avanzar, puede que por eso y no tengas algun npc por eso en el lugar.

Just had this problem an hour ago, I did a quest for alma and after that the next main quest fired off immediately. I have no idea what caused it but before that i was just killin monsters instead of doing npc quest, I dont know if its the game trying o get you to do them or something more technical.

For anyone reading this, it seems like once you get to this point you need to *gain two HR rank*... tested with three others and that seems to work. Might be two fights or two rank, but it's something like that to get unstuck.
