S.O.S. Flare question

How do I make it so I don't have to press a confirmation button every single damn time I'm in a hunt with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ monster attacking me and I throw a flare?
Seriously who the ♥♥♥♥ thought it was a good idea to take control from the player at that moment?

The first option where you start a hunt. Pretty impossible to miss it.

in the 'Post/Join Quest' page select Setting and turn on Automatic SOS

Talk to Alma and bring up the quest menu, there's a Settings option where one of them is a toggle to automatically send a SOS flare when a hunt starts. I turned it on and then it took me a while tor remember where the setting was as I wanted to turn it off again.

I'm talking about story quests, not posted quests. When doing story quests there's no option before starting, the only thing I can do is throw a flare after starting it. And every time I do it, there's a confirmation message that I have to click yes.

Edit: Unless that setting also works for those... I'll give it a try...

yes setting those works too, after cutscene the flare auto shot, so player/npc join you after cutscene

Story quests or assignments work the same. You are actually able to "Return from Quest" in the options or by talking to Alma, and then post the quest like normal to start it that way. It can be useful when you are playing with/waiting on friends.

Yea the mandatory trap missions are annoying asf with automatic flares
