Can ANYONE actually explain in detail... how to play with my friends?

Three of us simply trying to play together.. and can not seem to do anything together..

we are all in the same link party, we are in the same server.. but my friend who just started when he tries to progress.. I'D assume it would pull us into his instance but instead it just TPs him away from us and we are just standing here sitting on our thumbs..

Like can we not play the story together??? Hello?? This is such a frustrating experience..

In typical monster hunter fashion, you are unable to join someone who is viewing cutscenes.

What this means is, if either you or your friend has yet to view that specific cutscene up to that point, neither of you can join each other.

If you want to join your friend to play the story together, simply watch the cutscene (or skip it, and watch later) then one of you return to camp, and now you can join the other person who has also finished watching the cutscene and is probably mid-hunt. Once the hunt is over, both of you will progress to the next story segment.

Its abit annoying, but thats the only way that you can progress story together.
