Cutscene fps abyssmal?
Most cutscenes tank the fps like crazy and after the scene is over, the fps remains low until I go back to menu and relog into the game??
It is crazy how this game got released when you can't run it stable even if you're above recommended hardware specs

This is happening to me too. The game runs perfectly fine when I'm playing it but during many of the cutscenes my fps drops down to 18 to 22 and just stutters really bad. It only seems to happen in the cutscenes though.
Weird. I have never had FPS drop after a cutscene. Could be a memory issue of some sort? Have you tried different cutscene settings?
Yeah I tried to run the cutscene graphics separately but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. It's just weird it only happens during cut scenes not during normal gameplay. I'll typically have to reboot the game to fix it. I haven't had much time to troubleshoot different settings yet though. If I find a fix I'll post it here.

You can set different graphic settings for cutscenes and actual gameplay. But usually people have steady framerate in cutscenes and choppy gameplay, thats a pretty weird issue tbh
This game really does seem to really be hardware dependant!

Well that's the funny part. I managed to snag a RTX 5080 so I wasn't expecting to see something like this lol. It could be a simple setting change I need to make though I don't want to blame anything till I've done more testing.

Ah, what I meant was it's the combination of hardware - not hat it needs stella hardware.
I am getting better results than some with much newer gear.

Ah no worry I'm sorry I didn't mean that to sound negative or anything. I hope I can i figure out a fix though.
What I learned, is to change from fullscreen windowed mode to windowed and then back. Fixes it and the stuttering issue that pops up. You gotta keep doing it whenever it happens, but it's better than restarting the whole game.
It was the High Res textures for me. Started happening in the Rey Dau cutscene, turned it to High instead and no more stutters for the rest of the cutscenes.

This fixed all the cutscene problems for me. I don't know what's up with the High Res Texture pack but changing it to high instead seems to have resolved all my CS issues.
