4070 performance
Just wondering what everyone else is running with a 4070, even rendering at 1080p it barely goes above 60 fps on high.. am I the only one?

When a pc goes down that hard, it's usually your power unit or overheating.
I asume no blue screen or eventlog entrys to get more clues.

so a 5080 struggles to get 60 fps on all high but a 4070 super is getting 60-80 fps without framegen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUsLUP4tsSw stop the kap

Depends on what your doing what your settings are, and the HD texture pack of course lol I get 75fps on my 3080 high settings, but my big screen TV doesn't have 4k its a little older gets 1080p but it's a big screen so I like it :auyay:

However if I put it on 4k I can get 60fps on medium settings. On high settings I get about 45fps unless I'm standing Still lol

I thought that too, but it's not overheating. Everything's sat at below the usual - CPU at 60%, GPU at 80%, 56C - and it'll just freeze up completely with the audio going "drrrrrr" and hard reboot everything.

I'd rather have a standard crash to desktop instead of that, at least I don't have to wait for everything to turn on again. The only thing that's helped is turning Frame Generation on and uninstalling / reinstalling the game; it's only crashed the PC once today after a good 6-7 hours of playing, instead of 5 times from Fri-Sat.

I've tested on Low or Ultra settings, it crashes the entire PC regardless. I've resorted to playing on on High at a smooth 120fps in 1440p. The actual game runs perfectly fine, it's the random total PC reboots that kill my enjoyment.

1440p High settings with DLSS 100+ FPS on 4070. It runs perfectly.

4070, 12900K, 64 GB DDR5 6000 MHz.
130 FPS at 1080 with DLAA and framegen.

Please don't use frame generation as an excuse for their poor performance optimizations.

At 1440p high, no ray tracing, nothing. I barely get 60 FPS at all, seeing dips into the low 20's on a RTX 4080 Super.

Nah, I get about 60 native fps with a 4070 and a ryzen 7 7800 at 1440p. I dont play with ray tracing on. And I have shadows set to high, other than that, i have everything set to ultra.
If most people with a 4070 are stating theyre getting 60 or about 60. Then its likely true lmao. Its not some cope.
Its certainly a struggle to get anything past 60, but its there. And in the forest area it drops to like 55.

The game likely is so poorly optimized that you can even depend on videos like this atm lmao. From what I hear its a major cpu issue too. And I have one of the best gaming cpus out there. And i bet a lot of the other 4070 users have around the same cpu.

4070 has criminally low VRAM for it's generation but with that said should be more than capable at 1080p.

This game is just very poorly optimised and might never be in a good place given how Dragons Dogma 2 was.

What's the GPU usage at 1080p?

4070 super and is about 60 fps in 4k, in 1440 I can get around 80-120 fps, maybe the issue is your CPU

How many fps without FG? Hearing an 4060ti can run fine is wild.

I havent tried playing it without FG so not sure. I have to specify though that i have yet to go multi player...im new to the title so im playing solo to get the mechanics down

Allways sucks when games have issues.
However random crashes are pretty hard to track down.

you need to enable FG but you still get lower framerate than cyberpunk with pathtracing on 1440p just with dlss
Ohen Mar 2 @ 9:48pm
honestly for some reason this game runs absolutely horribly. even with a good set up. and the most recent patch broke it further
