I won’t lie, that group is hilarious, seeing its members debate how many black characters makes game „woke and DEI” or if single female warrior is too much or not.

This is so crazy. Its funny how all the anti-social justice warriors ironically became obsessed and triggered with any form of diversity and make it their whole personality down to making an-anti woke game list.

The problem isn't adding diversity, the problem is that this "diversity" seems to be more of a priority than having a cast of good characters. For example, Nata - I don't care that he's brown, he's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying and I dislike him as a character.
I feel like I'm repeating myself here. Again, Ripley would be a good character regardless if she was a man, lesbian, or black because she's simply written well. See how those small qualities don't define her overall character? That's what you get when you prioritize good character over "insert checklist item here".
Also, I'm playing a video game. I don't care how diverse the real world is.
The checklist example is bad because, again, those things shouldn't be prioritized over having good characters.
It would be odd to have a trans person in the Monster Hunter setting because, as far as I'm aware, you need hormones to actually transition. How many pharmacies have you seen in this game? Or any Monster Hunter game. How would they even hand-wave this away in a believable manner? It's just odd for the setting.

LOL How does having diversity have anything to do with writing good/bad characters. These thing are not juxtaposed. Both can exist, you can just point out the character as poorly written without blaiming "DEI" and "transness" and "representation". Its not like there is a diversity simulator and if it rolls on a black person the writers decide they have to consequently trade off on being a well written character.
Implying a fantasy game can't have a trans character because REALISTICALLY there needs to be doctors to perform REALISTICALLY in a FANTASY game is such a cop out. First of all, not every trans person even transitions physically nor wants to. The game is magical, you drink a potion and suddenly you can continue to get burned by lava. You want to be "realistic" now?

There is, as far as I'm aware, no precedent for trans people in any Monster Hunter game. The only analogue I can even reach out to is, obviously, real life. Am I saying it has to be realistic? No, that's why I asked how they could even hand-wave it away in a believable manner. If they can, great job.

Also there is proven evidence that people across the swing states got disenfranchised by legal means, but they allowed singular people to challenge voters, in 1 state a woman submitted a spreadsheet of 60k people to challenge, and these people didn't even receive a fair chance to fight this challenge, majority of them minority, almost all of them known democrat voters, and singular people were allowed to challenge 10s of thousands of votes totalling 3.8 million across swing states with singular spreadsheets.
