Downgrade to coop

so basically they said that the game is more coop now and almost full coop but instead they removed the option to go into an expedition with friends and made the game overall less coop, just that is easier to start missions? i see... how stupid

What about Environment Link? I heard you can free roam with friends that way. Correct me if I'm wrong, haven't tried it personally yet.

when you're in a link party you can go to the link party menu and click invite to environment link, and they can join your free roam as long as they have the locale you're in unlocked

My friend told me that you both need to be at the same hunter rank and if your friend has a lower rank than you, they will have to host the environment link and you can join them. I'm not sure how to host the environment link personally, but this video might be of some use to you. If not, then I apologise.

You can't change maps when you are enviro-linked which is silly. Doesn't feel open-world at all. CooP is very disappointing so far.

funny enough they said they improve it... yet sounds like they made it 10 times worse.. i guess this technology is too advanced for 2025 for capcom

They promised a more seamless experience but so far I've seen nothing but complaints about it.

Expeditioning was difficult in World too. If I'm gonna do multiplayer with friends I'll just post quests to the board and have them join by being in the same lobby. Not as free-roaming but it's still questing with friends.
