Where in-game or online can I find out what the buff/debuff icons mean?
The icons that are above your health. I didn't see anything in the player guide about them.

Any help at all would be appreciated

One of the icons in the screenshot that I provided is not included in the list on the link you sent.

Anyone else know of a more exhaustive / dedicated-to-wilds list?

How is this information not in the game anywhere? Is there a way to 'hover' over the icons to get a description of what they're for?

you only have 2 effects on your bar in the image

one is your food buff, as denoted by the bone steak, the other is on the list

it's a bit early for there to be an extensive list from wilds but at the same time i think thats the only new icon anyway, at least from what i recall from like 30 hunter ranks.

So the buff icons are usually not listed in-game anywhere? Players are expected to just figure it out and write them down, or check the wiki?

i'd have to check the in game guide, quite frankly, but most are just obvious and as you obtain them the game does hint at what they are on the right middle of your screen, including how to remove the negative ones.

not sure what to tell you, its not exactly overly complicated, and your complaining about the food-shaped symbol representing the food buff you have.

sword + up arrow means attack up, that's pretty obvious
sword + up arrow but yellow means elemental up. That's...not super clear

And meat up lmao "meat up" could be a lot of things, and that's just two examples I happened across
Actually, now that I look at them, they aren't that complicated.

Like This[i.imgur.com] is obviously "Ailments Negated". What else could it even be?

Besides, once you figure out that, you just KNOW the green version means Blights Negated. And the brown one is Knockback Negated. Duh! Haha they really are very self-explanatory.

All it takes is a quick glance at the tiny 20px double lightning[i.imgur.com] icon to realize that it means "Paralysis Negated". There isn't anything else you could confuse that with.

MH is a notoriously simple series anyway, so it makes sense that there isn't any sort of "In Game Guide" to provide any of this information.
