Something wrong with dodge / roll
During combat, the character will dodge in the direction he is facing, not the direction the player is facing. For example, if the character is facing horizontally to the player's right, W A S D + SPACE works taking the character's position into account, so W + SPACE will dodge to the right instead of forward, which is what I want to do. Any way to fix this? This didn't work like that in World

It is not the same. It worked properly in World. This one is different control scheme, a pretty uncomfortable one. Anyways, why the salty answer?

Ngl, with the new focus mode I've actually switched from controller to KBM and I prefer it. Totally subjective ofc but hey ho

Probably because we don't know the answer lol.

I play KBM and it's the same as it was in World

Check your settings. There was a movement option for this exact thing in world but it's awful so I don't use it and IDK if it's in Wilds.
Does the Directional Controls setting in the options change how that works?

Because you lack the intellectual ability to understand you're wrong.

Had this EXACT same issue, in fact it wasn't a skill issue not it was like this in world by default, if anyone else is having this issue this is the thread, it was annoying being mid combat, having the character face the camera after an attack, holding RIGHT to dodge and the character just roll LEFT lmao same with forwards backwards

In case it wasn't clear to people looking at this.

The default option for KB+M is to roll in the direction relative to where your character is facing. You want to change the game setting so you roll in the direction relative to the CAMERA.

And for controllers, the default option IS rolling in the direction relative to the camera. I have no idea why they made the default for KB+M different.

Thank you for taking the time to actually help people and explain the situation vs the others who just came in to point fingers and blame someone asking a legit question.

WTF with you? smart ass useless waste of time to read through your comments. Take your hateful energy elsewhere. He is not wrong, it is entirely based on camera/direction settings
