Optimisation Potential Fix Due to a Typo in the Config.ini [TextureResolution not TextureResolution]
So I kind of discovered that inside the Monster Hunter Wilds installed location, there's a file called config.ini . If you open it and find a section called MinimumStreamingTextureResolution=MinimumStreamingTextureResoltuion_256 , there's a typo for the word "Resolution" it's been typed as "Resoltuion".

Change it to MinimumStreamingTextureResolution=MinimumStreamingTextureResolution_256

Might explain some of the optimisation issues occurring in Wilds.

I noticed when I decreased/lowered the resolution from my native resolution in Wilds, it didn't increase any FPS so I went to check the config an found this. Perhaps change this if you're playing on PC/STEAM and see if it fixes anything.

Bump this so others can see.

there are multiple typos in the file

Tested it.
This introduced massive stutter to me. The change seems not to work well. Reverting back and got smooth again.
others have said it doesn't actually help because once you close the file it changes back to the default setting

did you bother to recheck the file after launching the game and closing it? Even set to read only, the file reverts any changes.

By "fixing" the typo you present the game with a parameter that is not known to it. Don't do it. In fact, if you leave the file on read-only it will overwrite it "wrong" again. This is just a typo in their localization/engine code. It should not be taken seriously.
MinimumStreamingTextureResolution=MinimumStreamingTextureResoltuion_256
Look at what this line says Resolution=Resoltuion
i guess it just fix for a typo in the code and it should change nothing or make it worse

The first one is only for scaling texture resolution up and down dynamically during gameplay. You SHOULD NOT be getting any stutters for correcting it. And you would only see a slight improvement IF you have a slower SSD

I use a NVME, so not slow at all. I did change the setting and the setting was still there after a game restart on my side. Got massive stutter, changed it back, restarted and all was normal again.

So I asume, that altering some of these settings will mess up their code in some way.

Maybe it was bad luck, but I did not have any stutters like this, after reverting.
