Quest bug "Omens" Chapter 5-1

I'm HR 40 and the quest is telling me to "Investigate the regions and raise my HR." I can't raise my HR past 40 and the quest isn't updating. Has anyone encountered this yet?

Ive been stuck at HR40 for legit like 6 hours now. Ive tried SOS, Optional Quest, AS WELL AS doing the next assignment mission (DONT ASK ME HOW IDK IT JUST SHOWED UP) however my HR rank has still yet to go above 40. Ive joined other lobbies, reverified files checked for game updates and so much more however still no fix PLS FIX THIS ASAP MY HR NUMBER NEED TO BE BIG NUMBER OR IM SAD INSIDE

You have to do several story missions to get past the HR 40 cap. You do like 4(?) story missions in a row after talking to Olivia before you finish the HR story line and the cap is lifted. It is not a bug. You just reached the hard cap of 40 to prevent you from joining post game hunts that require HR 41. Your HR number is currently green. When the cap is lifted your HR level will become blue, indicating to everyone else that you completed the base game story.

In case someone is still stuck, you need to complete certain "side-quests" first, they are sort of a wall to get characters their stories before the endgame and then make things come together, so if you are stuck on it and leveled a few levels, go to side quests, usually they are the ones on top you need to do(sorted by relevance or something, can not check currently due to missions), after completing one, you get a side story, then it unlocks the next short story and step forward for the next side-quest and so on. (this is what solved it for me)

Edit: just realized you were stucked at the quest "Omen" , i cleared that quest but i am stucked at the next one which is called "The Root Cause"

Hello, have you found a solution to this yet? I’ve tried everything from joining SOS and verifying games files and I’m still stuck in the root cause.

It's hard to say where exactly you're stuck but if you have the quest marker pointing to wyvernia or w/e that place is called, hunting a tempered 6* monster in that area progressed it for me and 4 other friends. 5* tempered didn't work, only 6*.

Just do all quests you find on the world map and you will progress.

Unfortunately the only quest marker I have would be a yellow one for plains. However, I can’t find the quest person and I’ve looked throughout the entire map.

I’ve done all the quests and side quests except the sandstar one since I can’t rest and change the time so it’s tedious and also the fishing quests

Had this issue an hour ago too, helped a friend do 2 of his quests and it fixed itself.

Was having the same issue and fixed it by completing a ready to turn in side quest I had active: open map and hover each location, if you have a quest in prog/ready to turn in it will show up on top of the monster list. Completed the ready to turn in quest and main quest unlocked for me (I didn't have to go and do any questing just handed in the completed side quest)

So what do you do if you've completed all available side quests? I just finished the Jin Dahaad fight and im HR 40.
