Audio Glitch
Does anyone experience an audio glitch when starting a quest from the quest board? I lose all sound to my earbuds. Is there a fix currently for this?

I had audio glitches too , but mostly in video sequences. If i don't mute me on discord my friends also receive annoing loud sounds in the same time. For me audio is then completly muted for some seconds. I only had this issue in this game.
Im having audio issues as well because every time the quest begins and im about to fight all audio cuts out and doesnt come back on till after the fight is over or quest is complete so frustrating tbh. Anyone know a fix?

I updated my drivers. I don’t know if that fixed it, but I haven’t had the glitch yet since! Try that out if you haven’t!
For me there's an issue with Sony stuff and their mics not being properly ... whatever. Anyways. I disabled voice chat and I think that's the fix...

I fixed it as well by turning off voice chat which is just weird but at least its fixed
have the same problem with bose earpods. i'll see if the voice chat fix works.
For me, this audio glitch appeared AFTER updating my NVIDIA driver to the current latest. Now, suddenly, at random, all audio will cut out for a few seconds AND my friends on discord can not hear me talk for those few seconds. Then, as quickly as it appears, it leaves. I am unsure how to fix this as of now.
i have both audeze maxwell and playStation pulse and both got disconnected when starting quest. not all the time just occasionally. reconnecting them doesn't work, had to switch to monitor audio, the only way to work again is to restarts the game.

seem that that disabling chat works now. thanks
Bumping this thread because my audio keeps having similar issues
For those of you having issues: Check your Windows Sound settings. I was having this same issue, but it turned out that it was using the Windows Default Sound Device and Windows Default Communication Device rather than what I set it in-game. I set my Windows Default Devices to what I was using in-game, and it worked.
weird im having audio issues but nothing like this, I have random clips from cutscense playing in the background constantly, ive been looking into it to see if anyone else has the similar issue but so far just audio being low or completely gone. any ideas?
Mine is different. When a quest starts or ends it essentially kills the audio output driver. Audio does not return until the driver resets. Voice comms is disabled in game. I have a few hypothesis:

1. It's my specific Logitech headset G733. I've uninstalled GHub and use the headset as a standard windows headset. It still happens. So it's not GHub.
2. The audio quality for my headset is either too high or incompatible with the game audio and chat audio. It only outputs to 16 Bit, 48,000Hz.
