My honest opinion.
1: Performance/Graphics:
First off, all the performance complaints are crap. It's just not true. The game runs and looks great. I truly believe all those complaining have outdated pc's. My pc isnt even that high end and i run max settings at 100+ fps without frame gen.

Score: 10/10

2: Story:
Kinda meh tbh. It pales in comparison to world's story, but is better than rise. The characters are less interesting and I feel less invested in the world and what happens to it than i did in world. It's still better than rise's story so I cant give it a horrible score in relation to the series, but it's disappointing for sure.

Score: 5/10

3: Gameplay:
It's certainly a monster hunter game. All the weapons we love are there, with mechanics we're familiar with, no complaints there. With that being said, the monsters are just so boring. There's no elder dragons, there's nothing that actually inspires fear. I made it through the entire game without feinting a single time. There's no raids/sieges like kulve turoth or safi jiva/fatalis/alatreon etc, which were arguably the best part about MHW. It's just missing.

Score: 6/10

Overall Score: 7/10

In comparison to rise its better in every way, that game was a complete joke and should've been a mobile game, but compared to world it definitely falls short.

Rise really? go play world and watch those scores drop.
Steam should show the PC specs in the users reviews. I'm pretty sure most complains about performance are from people with barely minimum or bellow the recommended spec for the game.

Agreed. Noone i know has had any performance issues. Some are even playing on 5-6 year old pc's.
I actually agree a lot with this review !
I give game play a lower score might be coz i main duel blades and i feel they sucked the fun out of them a bit!
and the story straight up pissed me of sooo much bad dialog with idiot npc`s that i couldn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about lol way worse the worlds and honestly worse then rise ! how ever after credits roll and it falls back into a more generic monster hunter grind and keeps a few story beats it gets much much better!

graphics is really nice and performance is good but audio audio is actually amazing from music to sound effects the audio team needs a raise !

Audio 100/100 graphics/performance 80/100 game play 50/100 story 2/010 0

over all score= 250/400 just above average!

i enjoy the game lots more then rise tbh and i feel the end game is far better but i feel a lot of the problems that exist with in the game are not fixable by patches updates or dlc !

I prefer the old graphics, its was visual UI, I can't tell whats been broken or not or what a wound, the environmental traps are hard to see for most of them. Though I prefer style over graphics.

It's been repeated countless times but no base mh game will include monsters like the ones you mentioned day 1. I also don't understand how you think this roster is boring, it's the best in the series without a question. I'd rather have the developers give love to the other monsters rather than just throw in the elder dragons again. The low rank experience is rather balanced if you are a new player. Experienced hunters can leave the palico and restrict themself by not using armor spheres. You can be sure the title updates are gonna spice it up and add more challenges. This game has a lot of potential in the upcoming updates

i love mh but my 9800x3d + 5080 cant go above 100+ fps without frame gen on 2k ultra setting and thats a dissappointment

You are wrong, i have the exactly pc recommended specs game page ask and the game runs like garbage in my computer.
This game only can be played by computers with 4000+12gb gpu series + 32 gb ram + gen 7 cpus. And this for a 1080p experience, what sounds even more horrendous. This game demmand NASA pc to play, and it lean on FG and tons of DLSS to deliver a average quality.

Don't be fooled by this. No CPU in the world can maintain this game above 100 fps at max settings without FG.

Thankfully you are vastly out numbered in this opinion. World had elder dragons day 1, so thats just clearly not true.

the 5080 is a horrible gpu, thats why. The 5x series was designed to HAVE to use frame gen, otherwise they're leagues worse than the 4x and even 3x series cards. Also, you're using 2k. 100 fps with those settings is good.

It really doesn't. I have multiple friends with low-mid end pc's that have 0 issues on the game. Get a job

Except it does. It's really not hard.

It's crazy that people have done objective looks at the tech utilization of Wilds, shown that it's very bad, and the only response is basically just "nuh uh"
