Why are people giving Clown Awards to negative optimization reviews?
The game IS badly optimized. So why the clown awards?

the game has bad optimization, but it runs fine and with better fps on medium settings. clearly it was not built with high or ultra settings in mind.

Supposedly pirates found anti-mod code that would explain the performance issues.

because MH community became toxic after the series became popular

It's not great on high-end hardware, either.

Two reasons: I bet you loved World....and it was badly optimized at launch. They had to patch it--and they did. You just have the mind of a goldfish, and can't remember that far back.

The second reason is because people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I hope this was educational!

So should be a lesson learned. Also doesn't help that most of the feedback they got during their betas was about poor performance.

People like the game, they don't like the way it runs. That's fair.

People don't know clowns are supposed to be funny and somehow think it's an insult to give away free points.

i'd give clown awards to all ppl saying its crashing
cuz like 90% of the time the game crashing for them
you end up realizing they did a sh*t job at overclocking and the voltage is sh*t and crashes the game
or that they are deadass using special dll's for dlc unlocker and many other things that they are used to have in other MH games (mods basically) on a game that just came out
or that they dont have enough Vram

sure it can also crash for abnormal reasons but almost always ends up finding out the person is just an idiot

Because they think by giving the jesters it alters reality and makes everyone think the game is well optimized.

rx 7800 tx, game runs smoothly on ultra, hd textures and raytracing. i just cant comprehend how people with better rigs than me can have issue with performance in this game. I had zero problems in my 21h of playing. no screen tears, no (noticable) frame drops, no crashes, no anything that could impact my gameplay negatively.
It gets quite annoying, if interesting threads get pushed down super fast, because people don't understand forums and spam the same thread over and over again, even after seeing that 80 % of the first page is already about this exact topic.

People see X, and you see Y, and you tell them that they're not seeing X.
Also, if you claim something, in general, a proof of your claim is not the number of people who agree with you.

It's possible for a game to be poorly optimised and for some people to still run it just fine by virtue of having the hardware to brute-force good performance.

Those two things are not mutually exclusive, never have been and never will be.
because there's a benchmark tool that lets you test the settings for free before you buy to see if the your pc can run it and what you need to change to improve performance and 90% of the people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ did not do that.

I learned with both Rise and Palworld. Newly released games have tons of trolls on the forums. I'm talking something like 50+%.

You're saying the trolls are the ones clowning legitimate reviews? I agree, makes sense.

Yeah it's possible. But it's impossible to see X in the physical world, and you tell people they're not seeing X in the physical world.
As usual, forum wars start with ambiguous definitions. So at some point you'll need to define "optimized". What is the definition of an "optimized game"? Otherwise, we could go on and on.
