You don't have authorization to hunt THAT monster
fk off! no seriously fk off with this... i get that it's "lore accurate." but i didn't get criticized for jumping anganath in world before getting the quest for it i shouldn't be penalized for doing it in this game.

Samus you do not have authorisation to use your suit feature to survive in volcano environments vibes.

What would be the weight of authorisation if it was always granted? You have it 99% of the time and 1 time you don't get it, it makes you mad?

ya if the monster doesn't have a icon on your map you're literally not alowed to fight it.

if the games not going to let us hunt a monster don't put it on the map. world did this shouldn't be hard to not put the sand worm on the map if we are not allowed to hunt it.

With how railroaded the story has been, I'd actually like if they had more higher rank monsters roaming around before you were given a hunt for them. Let them one hit KO me as punishment for being too curious. At least that would be interesting.

Hunting something without authorization is always not legal and called poaching.
Pretty sure you were able to hunt openly in World because you were not on an expedition to recon/report in world. You were just a monster hunter. In wilds you go from expedition, to rescue, to investigate and report, and so on. Hence why you need permission from the guild to hunt anything.
fanfreakingtastic...

No really, they served us slop... and made the whole experience literally garbage and the coop a weird mess..

Ah yes and tried selling us on Gemma early and get stuck with that other girl who won't shut up about offending or disrespecting people..

Uhm, you can still hunt the monster and even carve it afterward—I’ve done it before. As far as I understand, no corresponding quest will start because you're not far enough yet, but you can still take down the monster just like in World. Or did I miss something?

You need to get permission from the guild in the story for the first hunts. Once you do all the monsters in a specific area at least once, it opens to free hunting/exploring. (This does not include apex)

Yes, but I hunted a monster where the game kept telling me that I didn’t have permission yet. I ignored it and kept going, took down the monster, and carved it.

Maybe I'm not understanding this correctly, but isn't it just like in World, except that now you keep getting annoyed by messages saying you're not allowed to hunt it yet?

Cool we don't live in a world where giant sand worms burst out of the ground and try to bite your ankles off.

Having someone complain about you doing it constantly kinds ruins the fun of it.
