The concept of the "alpha" is cringe
It exists in chickens (It's were the phrase pecking order came from) naturally but for most animals, it does not exist.

Dave Mech who first wrote about an "alpha" only witnessed it in captivity in unnatural conditions and would spend the rest of his life trying to undo the mistake he made.

You're a beta we get it
I don’t know why, but the Bernkastel pfp makes this comment so much funnier to me.

wat it still doesnt disprove there is hierarchy in animols. y do deers fight with each other other than to breed

Competing for breeding rights and territory is not "alpha" among pack animals, it's literally competition for the males in a pack.
can u describe your meaning of an "alpha"

cuz in my understanding its just an animol that is stronker or superior(in w/e ways) than normol.

alphas do exist in the real world wild though? males compete for females and through various features exhibit their "alpha" genes/physique

examples? lions, gorillas, deers, wolves and chimpanzees
No, this was disproven by the guy who proposed the theory.

I keep hearing that, but, well, I also heard there were WMDs in Iraq, too. Sometimes, brother, people lie.

Sure, I'll use another animal that does actually have alphas IRL.

Some primates species:
"The top male holds responsibility for protecting others in the cohort from predators or other males attempting to take control of the group."

The main difference is that for something to be an "Alpha" it would have to be a singular prmary animal that takes charge of a pack.

But simply competing for a mate isnt really that

Ya... I was confused as well by that post.
Not true, the study only applied to wolves. "Alpha males" or pack leaders exist in many different animal types, not always to the degree that the male is a tyrant. Some animals have an "alpha female" dynamic as well where the female leads the grouping of animals.

Wolves however do not have "alpha males", "beta males", or "omega females" as wolves live in a family dynamic.
@RampantVamp

That's true, it exists in chickens and some primates species.

Monster Hunter (Series)
The Monster Hunter series is set in on alternate Earth where all the storybook monsters are real. In the United States, the Monster Control Bureau (MCB) is in charge of taking out those monsters which cause problems and keeping tabs on those which just want to get by without bothering anyone. They also oversee the PUFF bounty system, which allows independent monster hunting people or groups to earn bounty money for either destroying or bring in monsters operating outside the systems established by the MCB.

from the same wiki you posted.

also there are no vampires in capcom monster hunters.
