Normal colors on story scenes, washed out in game
This is driving me crazy... as soon as some story scene starts, the colors and textures look nice, good saturation, etc. When I go back to the game, everyone seems to be shined on with a big bright white light and it looks awful.
I've tried every setting combination, I don't know what's going on.
Anyone else noticing this? Any fix? I don't want to go on the reframework/reshade route...

Adjust the brightness settings in the menu. I know that it doesn't matter for most games, but in this one, follow the instructions exactly.

This.^
That fixed it a little, yes, but still, there's a difference between the title scene for example (when you're inside your tent and go out), and the regular game... I will generate shots in a couple of minutes
OK, it seems like it was a combination of the textures not loading correctly, and rtx hdr clashing with the game's hdr... but now it looks better.
is it maybe that the games "vigneting" effects arent applied during cutscenes? also, are your cutscene grpahic settings the same as the gameplay ones? i think they are the same per default, but im not shure.

Everything's the same for cutscenes, and I have everything maxed out, hd textures, etc., only Ray Tracing is off, but it didn't affect when I tried. I turned off volumetric fog in the ini.
But like I said, doing all the things other threads mentioned for other issues (textures, shaders, etc) made it look better and less washed out.

dude. THIS. Especially in the Scarlet Forest, cutscenes showed me vibrant colours and tint but absolutely disappears during gameplay. Have you solved it?

I swear it's an oversight, they really need contrast/saturation setting in display option. Brightness calibration doesn't do enough.

Same problem here lemme know if you find a fix, also the game doesn't look blurry on cutscenes but it's on gameplay

I didn't really fixed it, I just saturated the game more, and now I get almost pitch black cutscenes... I believe it's something effed up with some sort of global illumination thing, that gets turned off during cutscenes... it's like a big white light over everything.

Man... I had to do the same thing with saturation via Nvidia game filter, it's a skill issue that Wilds didn't include more display options in-game. Still hoping for a big patch though!
I followed the steps on this thread:
"I might have figured out how to get HDR working perfectly..."

now game and cutscenes look the same (for better or worse)
