If the above is true, fantastic, I hate that approach to story telling in a game
Go to camera > page 2 > at the bottom turn off focus camera.
Go to camera > page 4 > turn off monster sighting.

When the victory camera comes, you get the button prompt to end quest instantly - if you hold that button. If you just press that button, not holding, it will abort the victory camera and you get control back instantly.
Press, not holding.
Alternatively, there is a mod which automatically disables it.
On keyboard it is 'Y'.
