Harder monsters can still take 10-15m+, but as you get better you'll be mulching the jobber monsters in 1-2 minutes.
Once you get combos and timings down things go a bit quicker. Weave in some item use and use explosives and traps like you've got an unlimited supply and fights go by quicker.
Don't expect many fights to take you less than 10-20 mins as a newbie though. There is a lot of depth to the game that isn't very apparent at first. You're not doing anything wrong, this is exactly how it's supposed to go.
Dont listen to those idiots who tend to speedrun or exploit stuff.. 15 min is still a great time for when you never played games like this extensivly. Back then in Freedom Unite the minimum you could pull on some monsters , especiel solo, was around 30 minutes. And even if you conquer the controlls this time around, you will encounter enemies that are simply resistend or outright imune to your attacks thus it will take time.
