Unable to stay in link party or quest, anybody else having this issue.

Anytime Me or a friend tries to join a link party, or quest in the same lobby, we can join but disconnect within a minute of it joining. We never had this problem in the beta's.

No issues here, i have seen a few talk about it possibly be vpn related if either of you are using one?

No VPN for me and as far as friend don't believe they are. But will have to check next time we try. Just weird that during beta's we had no issues and now we do, yet nothing changed as far as our systems go that know of.

i have a friend who's having constant disconnects when we try to link party, the weird thing is their partner who is on the same network has had 0 disconnects

I'm having the same issue right now. The game runs wonderfully solo, but I just can't stay in (or sometimes even join) a quest. My brother, who is on the same network, has no issues. I've tried a bunch of stuff, but i'm gettin real tired of this.

Having the same issue currently. My friend had a VPN and he turned it off and it was working but then I decided to run the game as administrator because of crashing and then we got back to the same issue. I turned off run as administrator but the problem persists. If anyone has any idea what I can do since neither of us have VPN.

I'm having issues where I can connect to other people through SOS's and finish up the hunt no problem. But its just RNG for when I'm going to be disconnected from my Link Party's hunt. Its so frustrating. I want to hunt with friends!

Exact same. SOS is fine. Link Parties are broken for me though.

For everyone here, I want to ask, what weapons are being used between you and your other party member(s)?
This might sound weird, but my partner and I only seem to have this problem when he's running Insect Glaive and only IG. Any other weapon, perfectly fine the whole session. I'm trying to find corroborating evidence if this is really the issue.

Okay stupidest thing spent all day fighting this and no kidding turn off windows defender. No kidding it's that stupid fixed literally all my connection problems. And since I've seen no constructive solutions try this guys.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, my friend always had issues when posting so we never could join his quests, but now that he tried to turn off Windows Defender Firewall, it worked XD (you dont even need to restart the game, and he could start the Defender, too). Maybe its just as simple as making as a Firewall Exception.

Edit: Okay, today this fix stopped working...

Been disconnecting all the time as an Insect Glaive user. After reading your comment, I switched to Charge Blade, and stopped disconnecting. Played 3 hunts, no issues. Switched back to Insect Glaive, disconnected from the very next hunt.

Might be worth looking into more.

after looking into the issue, i believe its a windows service. i attempted above said fixes however it looks like whenever the "freeze" begins and you get disconnected, your OS drive maxes out on transfer capacity. If anyone having this issue can attest to this, try and replicate the issue with task manager open on your second monitor or in the background, and stay on the performance tab. Once the freeze occurs, switch to task manager and check your disk drives. Lets see if we can make a stink about this and be able to play the game one day lol
