found a solution to crashes (AMD GPU)

my brother has a 7900XTX and when the game runs it overclocks itself to over 3GHZ which causes the driver to crash
went into Adrenalin and limited the GPU to 80% of its power
never moved higher than 2,6GHZ
never crashed since
plays the game for 4h now with 0 crashes
i'm a happy big brother now

we tried all the "solutions" from the troubleshooting thread, none helped. this did.

So far, so good.

I haven't crashed since I made the change to 80% max GPU frequency. Tomorrow I'll test if I can go up to 90%.

The situations where I frequently crashed before are now reduced to a single stutter at most.
This was often at the start of a cutscene and whenever I went from some kind of underground or tunnel area into an open landscape, like Balahara's lair, the caves beneath the oasis and even the ravines in area 1 crashed twice when I tried to leave them south.

Have the same gpu and have a r7 9800x3d

put the clock at 2.6ghz

but still crash after 30 minute of gameplay....

kinda boring i don't know where theses crash can came

monitoring with Afterburner, last crash happened with only 2.4GHz

glad it worked for you, but no solution to every problem

OC & afterburner may causes serious problems to both CPU and GPU. I highly recommend not testing your PC, until you will apply later patches.

been using afterburner since years. Never wrecked my hardware...

Right now I'm testing disabling HD textures.
Been on 2 hunts without crash. so far so good...

im new to all of yhis dont know how to do it, im a console player new to pc gaming...
