To those that have reached High Rank
How would you say the monsters feel in terms of health?

I've played Monster Hunter since the second game and I'm well aware of how easy it feels when going from G-Rank/Master Rank to Low Rank again. So this isn't about difficulty. I'm wondering more if flights will last noticably longer once I get to High Rank. Even with starting gear, most Low Rank flights end in sub 5 minutes. The beta gave me the impression flights would last longer than they currently are.

Beta mobs deff had way more HP and dmg. I'm about 8 missions in, haven't used a single health potion as melee.... Each boss dies within 5 minutes. Something is deff wrong.
just finished high rank. they do get more hp took me and a friend 15 to 20 min for most fights.

Hunt completion times seem fairly standard for what I pull off in other Monster Hunter games, 8-14 minutes on average. It feels a little faster sometimes but I think it's because i'm using Sword and Shield and it has the ability to make wounds so much easier than other weapons that I kind of dogwalk a lot of monsters by staggering them to death.
It still seems like a roflstomp to me.
I had a way rougher time in the OBT.

I feel like the monsters just aren't aggressive enough, and stuns don't happen very often unless you really take a lot of hits (which is nearly always player error).

I can play foolishly and monsters just can't cart me, they don't ever punish. They have defined combos and then they pause, never delivering follow-ups or finishers.
If your armor/element res is high enough to withstand a combo, then you just simply can't die unless you try to.
there is no difference, its still make one wound and the monster is perma ccd till dead, even tempered arkveld was killed in 19.5 hours

Wait. People are actually asking for mob HP to be buffed? They want fights to last longer than they already are? I was under the impression that increasing "difficulty" by simply boosting HP numbers was about the worst possible way to increase difficulty.

The game certainly doesn't seem all that difficult to me, mostly because the mobs don't really seem to be all that much of a threat outside of a few of them having one big attack that can technically one shot you if you're under half health. So long as you mount up and heal yourself when you get that low, it's pretty hard to die.. which just turns the enemies into a punching bag. Increasing the amount of time I need to punch that bag doesn't really seem desirable to me.

Nope; the game is exactly how it was designed to be, in order to cosset the players it was tailored for. Games that cost this much money and require this much development time, do not make mistakes as fundamental as those regarding difficulty. A couple of instances or inconsistencies?... Sure. The entire base game being seen as a "cinematic experience" cakewalk by reviewers and players alike?... Nope. It is all as it was intended to be.

people just enjoy the hunt, so it's a problem if a monster dies in 5 minutes.

Much more hp, average hunt goes 10-20 min. I haven't tried all the monsters and special types though

HR is 10-15 solo, 7-10 with a group, depending, Gravios can take a while as a chonker he is while frenzied rathalos can be done in 6 minutes if you don't turtle up.

iam HR 60 and monsters have 7-8 Stars end game content they can 1-2 shot you if you not careful , average fight about 12-15 min depends on how many people in the party more people = more monster HP

Just wait till they add arch tempered versions of the monsters, when they stop having stamina and even remotely reasonable hitboxes, that oneshot you offscreen in the span of a second.

At some point the community probably should realize that the input reading monsters they fight will never achieve that sweetspot of being just "right".. and its either too easy or too dumb.
