5080 + 9800x3d, 1440p maxed settings locked at 120 fps here. So someone getting 45 fps with a 4090 means they have a bottlenecked cpu. I'm personally having a great time.
Cope more.
I can't imagine how many people are playing this game right now at 30fps, or even less, because they already dropped $70, played over 2hrs and are a part of the hype train. It's a shame but it won't last long before they stop. Maybe then Capcom will optimize the game or it'll die out. MH:W was great because all mid-tier GPUs were able to hit 60fps and that was before DLSS and upscaling. This game doesn't look that much better but requires 3x the power to hit the same benchmark as Worlds did. So everyone is using Frame Gen from either AMD or Nvidia to make it the game playable.
Basically the internet hivemind determined the game is good but a lot of those people must be playing at like 20fps right now. Steam Hardware survey just doesn't show that many people have the GPU to play the game.
No, you're running the game @~30fps with frame gen on.
