G-Sync is currently completely broken and is causing flickering and stuttering.
There are currently TWO G-Sync issues:

1. G-Sync does not properly sync your monitor's refresh rate with the game's framerate. This is what is causing flickering and stuttering if you have G-Sync enabled. See the Reddit link below for a video and in-depth troubleshooting. There is currently no workaround aside from disabling G-Sync.

2. G-Sync does not work if the monitor the game is using is not the left-most display. If you have a multi-monitor setup, disconnect the monitors to the left of your gaming monitor.

I have submitted reports for both of these issues to CAPCOM already.

Reddit text for the lazy:
This is a slowmo clip of my monitor’s current refresh rate (reported directly by the monitor and completely separate from the OS) next to the game’s framerate. With g-sync enabled, these two numbers should sync up very closely, but that’s obviously not the case.

You can see the refresh rate jumping erratically from the current framerate which causes large stuttering in-game. This happens in the menu, cutscenes, and gameplay at the highest and lowest graphics settings.

I am using the in-game framerate limiter set to 60 and nvidia control panel limiter set to Off (Performs the same vice versa.)

The monitor is set to 720p 144hz in the video and is the same in other resolutions. Behavior is the same if the monitor is set to 60hz and framerate capped to 50hz.

PC is 9800X3D, RTX 4090, etc. Monitor is MSI Optix MAG281URF.

Followed their troubleshooting guide top to bottom, including booting into safe mode and running Display Driver Uninstaller then driver reinstall, with no improvement. Obviously, g-sync is working fine in all other games.

This is also separate from the issue where g-sync does not work at all if your gaming monitor is not the left-most display in your Windows display settings. :)

Behavior is the same on another g-sync monitor I have on hand (ASUS VG248). Same behavior between NVIDIA driver versions 572.47 and 572.60.
