The character design data is missing

I spent a lot of time building the character and when I was about to name it, the game crashed...
But that's not the point.
When I restarted the game, all the characters and cat shapes I saved were gone.
What on earth is this ?CAPCOM??

I had something similar happen, except when I was done creating my character and palico, I saved their designs, as I had been doing throughout the design of them. Then I hit alt-f4 because I wasn't ready to sit through a bunch of ♥♥♥♥ at the start of the game, and you can't just exit from the character creator back to the main menu.

The saves appear to be lost.

This happened to me too. I spent like three hours making a character, saved seven variants, quit, went to bed, and all my save data is gone. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I have to do it all over again.

I'm not sure if this is a BUG. But it seems that as long as you don't fully complete the character creation process and enter the game, the character design will not actually be saved.
I hope CAPCOM can fix this so that character designs can be saved immediately, or at least alert players to this issue when creating a character.

I have just had the same problem. I feel its fair to assume that the save feature would bank templates, regardless of the game save. so much time wasted.
