Is it just me or is it very slow compared to world?

It's not you. It ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks now. IDK how they managed to turn one of the most fun weapons into something asinine. I loved it for years. now I don't even want to play. My son loved it as well in World which was his first MH game. Now he hates it and has decided to use other weapons. It just feels bad now.
I gave it a chance but it just feels too slow compared to what I am use to.
Yeah too slow for me sadly
its so slow i dont even bother using my kinsect anymore. I just use the R-Mouse 1 attack to leech my extracts now. IDK why they nerfed the bugs speed so bad... Just makes the bug not worth using, and honestly I think Im about to just go back to my longsword
It feels like the worse iteration of it by far. I think Iceborne had the best and Rise is also much better. They dramatically limited your options in the air which is the entire point of the weapon.

I'm not sure what you mean. This is the best state glaive has ever been in. It's different, but it definitely isnt slower
I'm using insect glaive for the first time in the series and it honestly doesn't feel slow at all. Although I have played hammer only since Generations. With IG I have had individual combos that do 1k+ damage across all the hits. And I'm still running low rank armor without deco slots. You just can't hold w, if you get the 1 and constantly charge up you are always doing consistent damage, making sure to get maximum amount of wounds on a monster when you mount it is also important. You can do the focus strike midair to break the wounds created from the mount attacks. Since focus strikes on wounds instantly give all 3 extracts you can chain the big attacks that spend the extracts into instant extract replenishes into another big attack all in a row. If there are several wound spots already set up you can do massive combos that do thousands of damage. IG is carrying me through the end of High Rank right now.

Sorry but you know absolutely nothing then when it comes to previous Insect Glaives in prior games, the attacks from IG were at least twice as fast as the ones we have in Wilds now. World IG was near perfect, Rise felt a little lame with the Wirebugs but still a usable weapon. What we currently have now is utter trash.

Yes it's very slow, feels like playing previous games without the red buff, even if the damage is still appropriately balanced, I don't think I'll be touching glaive on this one.
