black myth wukong runs better and that game was unoptimized also. This is way more.
I wonder why they even inserted ugly polygon monsters. Did they know many people cant handle it?
Some people think this is ♥♥♥♥ and rightfully so, some are brute forcing through the game's technical shortcomings with monster pcs, and others are lying about muscleing through the games shortcomings to pretend they have better pcs then they actually do.
The people that think is ♥♥♥♥ are mad they can't get a reasonable graphical experience and the other two groups is anything from coping, to defending their purchase, trolling? Who knows.
Thats pretty much the short and long of it. At least we're getting the ps3 monster hunter release we always dreamed of.
Ray tracing does indeed lower frames for a meh result but there seems to be a ton of technical things that together are responsible for frame dips. I've seen things like texture streaming being a problem which is why turning camera quickly gives u a poor texture that needs a sec to display properly (♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on people's gpu), you can see this even in really high end pcs where there is still a lot of pop-in present. Also it seems they are running both denuvo and their inhouse drm at same time which is taking a ♥♥♥♥ on people's cpu.
So game runs 90% solid most the time max settings 1440p
120 fps 90% the time drops to 60 locked in some tunnels that link the maps? Weird.
Has micro stutter when turning and some flickering when talking to npcs if frame gen is enabled.
Frame gen disables vsync too so there's tearing with frame gen...
Micro stuttering when turning is also present without frame gen and locked to 60 fps
Game overall still feels better with frame gen than none frame gen even though fps is mostly 120 or 60 dipping down randomly to like 57 ot 113 ect... still smooth bar the micro stutters.
I'm very picky with fluid gameplay so people who play on a 4070 probs accept the games flaws but when I own the top end hardware from last gen and still 2nd best this gen I expect solid performance from a game...
This game is not optimised at all and has issues. Anyone denying this hasn't got a clue about pc games or use to playing crap.
I can't see anything in this game demanding at all...
Another note watching asmon on a 5090 he has massive fps drops with gunlance not sure if this is streaming issue or not due to the explosions as I haven't used that weapon myself yet.
Playing with a friend who has the same pc as me we get artefacting randomly at different times. And this is my biggest issue with the game.
Overall I'm enjoying it but there's noway people can say this game plays smooth and is acceptable of such a game title.
Mind you mh world had similar issues on release too. Rise is the only one that was ultra smooth but rise is like switch game...
