Damage Number Symbol
Hey, I was wondering, sometimes there is a purple line with a dot in the middle showing up above damage numbers. I missed what it means and cant find anything on google. Does anyone have any idea?

First guess with no actual experience...

Posion.
i dont have a poison weapon. Im using the stun-dual swords. My guess was it has something to do with affinity, but im really not sure

It is to do with Affinity, its critical strike damage
From from I'm guessing is it has to do with hitting an area which is in the process of creating a wound. That's just my guess though.

okay i double checked, its 100% crits. now u have 2 crit indicators basically. 1 slicing line that is kinda big and glowy PLUS the purple line above the damage number ...
Red line means crit (positive affinity), blue line means negative crit (less damage, negative affinity)

It's critical hits, the the chances of getting them is what the game calls "affinity".
Purple? You must have colour blind mode on, the critical strike is normally Red
I think i know what OP is talking about. I get it when fighting Arkveld. You got your white damage numbers when hitting a non weak point, the orange damage number when hitting a weak point, then i get some purplish damage numbers when hitting him.
the purpleish damage numbers are nonelement or status as your affected from dragonblight but i haven't seen the purple line symbol myself i also haven't used neg affinity weapons as thats the only other thing i can think of
