Why does this game look so BAD?

I have been watching review/gameplay videos on YouTube. Many of the textures look like a blurry mess from a 2 decades old game.

This game costs 70 bucks. How is this acceptable?

Because a lot of people are probably playing with Upscaling and Frame gen turned on. As it's enabled by default for. Some reason.

Without graphics your game depends on good story and playability. This game fails on the playability part and the story is "I hunt big monsters". So this game sucks.

the blurry effect is caused by the TAA, using native fsr aa suddenly all got cirsper.

Game's just as vile looking on native. Monsters look good but pretty much everything else is dreadful.

It's a very ugly game. Aside from the technical issues that produce bad image quality, the graphics are ugly. 50 shades of brown and grey.

You'll be told dozens of excuses and ways to fix something, but trust me, it won't help. What you see is real and it is what it is. Just trust me, you're right.

Even with that it still looks terrible. I do 3d modelling and I swear there isn't much upgrade when comparing to world.
I wish they'd spent more time everything, it feels so gross to look at and low quality.

This only applies when a game is well optimized according to it's graphics. This game, however, is not.
